Beautiful. Has lots if cute prairie dogs. But ground cover has Many thorns which are terrible for digs feet.
Most COE parks have spacious sites, but this one, the sites are very close together. The concrete parking pads & concrete patio with covered picnic table are very nice. But the small amount of grass at each site was full of stickers, which was not not good for our dogs.
It's just the plains of Oklahoma. Nice, but a little too warm at 0800. Park is pretty clean. Good place to take the family.
Recovering from a devastating tornado 3-4 years ago. All the sites are new and updated with covered picnic tables. All brand new bathrooms is great. What is lacking are mature shade trees but that will take years to grow back. It's getting there.
Hiking at big springs was great. View of the lake was beautiful.
